Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting

SCOE GO Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) Meeting this Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Please encourage families to attend the virtual meeting! Remind families as you greet them and point out flyer posted in the classroom. I appreciate your support.

CFS Gives 2025—Christmas Project

  • If you, your team or your family are interested in adopting one of our CFS Families for Christmas please sign up here. https://forms.gle/rFpeXoEdJnLLWmmG7 I will connect with you soon to select a family.

  • As a reminder, Center and Home Based Staff, please discuss your families with your teams and nominate one family per site and one family for every two home based units by Friday, November 7th. Based on the number of sign ups by gift givers, we will likely have capacity to adopt any additional families so please keep a few extra families in mind. https://forms.gle/625XQatidS81ns8TA

Supply Orders

Tony connected with Kurtis Carr about challenges in ordering age-appropriate supplies for preschool classrooms and the following is the resolution. When ordering for Infants and Toddlers, note the age group 0-3. When ordering supplies for preschool classrooms, note the age group is 3-5. This is true because all children in the classroom will turn age 3 by the cutoff date.

Client Feedback Survey

Here is our parent feedback from September and October. I am so grateful for this amazing team and all the incredible ways you care for our children and families. Your impact is humbling and heartwarming. There were so many shout outs this time thanks that I picked up a few extra Starbucks cards! Congrats to the September and October $10 Starbucks cards winners: Allyson Zuleta Alonzo, Carmen Alvarez, Marisa Aguilera, Amanda Counter, Fabi Arellano & Nurse Norma  Grubeck! Please keep encouraging families to provide feedback! English/Spanish

Classroom Educator iPads

Over the years we have tried several different technology solutions for educators. As a result of feedback we have made the decision to provide every center-based educator with a new iPad. These devices are being ordered now and we hope to deploy them after winter break. We hope that this purchase will better provide you with the tools you need to do your work. Each center based educator will end up with two devices, a laptop and an iPad. Support/Itinerant Associates will use just an iPad. Please join me in thanking Rita Alvarez for all her work to make this possible!

Class Level DRDP Summary of Findings—Due 11/15/25

As mentioned in my emails late last week, it’s time for center-based teams to complete your class-level DRDP Summary of Findings (SOF). To support you, I’ve completed the data analysis and set initial goals for your classroom. If you’re comfortable with the information provided, you’ll only need to enter your planning date, team names, and selected strategies. My hope is that the process feels clear and straightforward. Here are the detailed instructions which include a link to the Google Drive. Many of you completed this work last week!! Thank you so much!

You’ll notice we’re using a different report format this time because Learning Genie has not yet released the School Readiness Goals report for the DRDP 2025. While your classes include a mix of children assessed under DRDP 2015 and 2025, our class-level planning will focus on the 2025 version since it represents most children.

Please work directly in your assigned document within the shared folder. Your progress will save automatically, so there’s no need to download, save, or email your file. I’ll be able to view your updates in the same folder. Be sure to edit only your document to avoid overwriting others’ work.

Please complete your classroom DRDP SOF by Friday, November 15, 2025. Please reach out if you have any questions or need support as you work through it.

QRIS Salary Enhancement

The list has been finalized for staff who will receive QRIS salary enhancements on a cycle 2 check this December. To qualify, staff needed to be employed at an eligible SCOE GO center that received a rating of 4 or 5 stars in June 2025, demonstrate fidelity to Teaching Pyramid Practices and meet with a professional growth advisor. Supervisors have reviewed the list and confirmed all eligible staff are reflected. Great news to report:

  • All sites earned 5 Stars!!

  • All classrooms demonstrated fidelity to the Teaching Pyramid either through a TPOT that was completed in the spring or a Teaching Pyramid Snapshot (Preschool) or TIPITOS Red Flags (Infant Toddler) this fall!! Shout out to those observed in October! You achieved 100% fidelity!

  • All staff who were employed in an eligible classroom in June 2025 met the professional growth plan requirement!!

  • Please note that a few staff who were hired after June 2025 reported their professional growth plan meeting on our form. Unfortunately you are not eligible for a salary enhancement this time but will be eligible next year as long as we are funded again.

MMCI Infant Toddler Training

The 11-10-25 MMCI Infant Toddler Training has been cancelled. The planned topic will be covered during the 2-13-26 session.

Gratitude

Thanksgiving is a meaningful time to pause and reflect on what — and who — we are grateful for. When I take that pause, I’m grateful for our team. You support one another through challenging behaviors, tight deadlines, and stressful moments. You show grace to children learning to manage their emotions and navigate group dynamics, to families who have endured a lot, and to each other as we learn, grow, and inevitably make mistakes.

I hope each of you finds time this season to reflect on what you’re grateful for, to rest, to enjoy good food, and to spend time with the people you love.

IEEEP Survey

As part of the IEEEP consortia, SCOE GO center based staff is required to respond to the 2025 IEEEP Survey. The survey gathers information about educators’ experience with professional development and will be used to determine if professional development is of high quality, useful, and applicable to classrooms that are either inclusive or striving towards inclusion. Survey deadline is Friday, December 12, 2025.

Parent Letter for Security Cameras

Please provide this letter regarding the installation of security cameras to all families at Del Puerto CDC, Muncy Head Start and Oakdale CDC. A few reminders:

  • Cameras are placed in visible locations which will be marked with signage in accordance with applicable law or board policy/administrative regulations.
